We're going to check the moon first. I did as subtle of a sneak-around of that moon base as I could when it first opened, but I couldn't be too sure I was overlooking anything.
And besides, we can't be sure that base is the only thing there, either.
If it's not that then I have a few other ideas, but it's hard not to be influenced by the colonization history of my home solar system. It's a wide net. It would be too convenient, I guess, to have some way of narrowing it down. I need to go over all the details again and see what I might be missing.
[If you think Duo Maxwell didn't spend 80% of his time in the City absorbing as much AD pop culture as he could, well]
[He definitely shitposts the imPort forums now.]
I'm not soothed by this.
Seeing as no one has built a beam cannon yet in this time period- except for those satellites we just destroyed all or most of and had no way to brute force anyway- I'm still working that one out.
It's not a bad thing- that no one's built any yet. Unfortunately, you need weapons to combat weapons, so here we are. Considering rebuilding some of our worst fears.
Yeah I'm going to say no on that one, assuming I know more about orbital physics than you do (I am pretty sure I can say I know more about orbital physics than you, no offense).
The other problem is the warheads inside of the main missilepod seem to have pretty good homing programming. Even if we could destroy the missile en route, the payload will continue onward and destroying that many individual warheads will be a problem with no open space combat technology to speak of in this world.
You're lucky if a coma is what you get when Crane's done with you.
[hey guess who's never letting go of this grudge or trauma, ever]
Ouch? If anything, he'd be my chaperone, please.
[As if any Gundam pilot would have such disrespect for anot-- okay no, yeah, they might all feel the need to keep an eye on him. Ah, when you're the mess of the family........]
Well, we won't know how scrambled his brains are unless he wakes up, yeah? If this is the same one that was here when I left, he's just as bad as the first one.
[ Don't worry this is a Grudge-Safe zone. She hates him too. ]
Would he? Then why were you snooping in on our conversation, hmmmm? Worried I was going to embarrass you?
I have some standards. I'm not actually a mercenary.
[And while he's willing to infodump to most anybody, joke in shared suffering and all that, Duo does not ever Talk About What Happened. That's getting into a level of personal that all of the Wingboys know better than to get with each other.]

I'll have to see what ships are available. [for, yanno, stealing] This time period is a little archaic and leaving Earth's orbit might be tricky.

1/2 again
Watched it incoming from the best seat in the house.
(Did you know L2 is always the Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd would have loved my home colony I guess)

I'm going to find her human form and sue Lachesis for stealing my life and turning it into a bad scifi novel.
Or at least (more of) a terrible cosmic joke.

Maybe this is why she brought you back.
So: how do you stop a missile from Mars?

[Not the first time, as Ruka may know.]

I suppose pushing the moon out of alignment to take the hit for us is not in our best interests, either.

It's doable though, isn't it? If you get enough of the right people up there?
no subject
Should be.
[Damn, but he wishes they had Heavyarms or Prometheus for this mission. Nothing like a solid spray of ammunition to take out split warheads.]
If you can think of someone who can manufacture a dozen space vehicles for war in under 18 hours.
(Again, other than Stark.)

No, I don't have the intel on who's at our disposal. All the guys I want to suggest have been gone for ages.

Man, one of these times it'd be real lucky if Q got ported in with his fam's investments, all I'm saying.

Who's Q?

Speaking of the worst city in the multiverse;
Don't think I didn't see that shit, Selene.
Think you need more cats to be using that name.

That jackass aside, you're playing chaperone now?

[If he had been, Duo would have shot him on the spot. Batman and whatever plans he thought he had be damned.]
Oh come on, now. I snoop on everything.
(But especially things that involve my friends.)
